We have been asked by an NHS Foundation Trust in East Midlands to help them recruit a Consultant Breast Radiologist, either on a substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis.
The successful appointee will be joining a team of 7 colleagues within the breast imaging team who will all have the same focus of maintaining and expanding a comprehensive, high quality screening and symptomatic breast Service & the appointee will be expected to commit to support a range of diagnostic services including CT, MRI, plain film reporting and ultrasound examinations.
They will be working in a new purpose built Breast Institute providing state of the art facilities for the screening service, outpatient service, administration and education Centre.
The unit is treating in excess of 600 new breast cancers each year diagnosed from 8,000 new referrals to the daily new referral "one stop" breast clinics. This unit is recognised as one of the pioneering and leading breast units in Europe. The Unit excels in breast diagnostic techniques and breast cancer prognostic factors and hosts one of the leading breast education and training centres in the UK and is subject to the Trent Quality Assurance Reference Centre to ensure very specific and exacting service standards and quality targets are met.
Furthermore, the department also expect the appointee to fulfil other responsibilities such as participation in multidisciplinary meetings, Teaching and Training for various students & assistance with Research, Governance & Audit
