Apprentice IT Support Technician An Apprentice IT Support Technician / Engineer is required by an IT Managed Service Provider based in Blackburn, Lancashire, working 40 hours per week .
We manage and maintain the IT network infrastructure for a broad range of clients across the North West of England. Our services include end-user computing, networking infrastructure, AV solutions, cloud computing, and systems management .
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and proactive apprentice to join our friendly technical team. You will support clients with hardware and software issues via phone, email, and on-site visits.

Key Responsibilities Monitor and maintain IT systems and networks
Assist with the installation, configuration, and management of systems
Diagnose and resolve technical issues via phone, email, or on-site support
Support the management of servers in physical and virtual environments
Assist with Group Policy (GPO) implementation and synchronisation with cloud technologies such as Microsoft 365
Work within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Update and maintain internal documentation and ticketing systems
Communicate technical solutions to clients in clear, non-technical language
Technical Skills & Knowledge (Desirable) Experience or knowledge of Windows Server 2012 / Windows Server 2016 / Windows Server 2019
Familiarity with Windows desktop operating systems
Knowledge of Windows desktop applications
Basic understanding of Active Directory
Hardware and software configuration
Basic networking knowledge ( LAN, WAN, VPN )
Essential Requirements Must be aged 20 or over
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (required for travel to client sites across the North West)
Strong interest in IT support and technology
Good problem-solving and organisational skills
Ability to communicate clearly with clients in non-technical language
Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
