We’re looking for a forward-thinking, self-sufficient Technical Manager – EV Charging to take ownership of our EV installation service. The Role You’ll lead the design and delivery of EV charger installations, supervise engineers, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Design and specify safe, compliant EV charger installations (domestic and small commercial) Oversee project delivery from initial survey to commissioning Conduct technical site audits and quality assurance checks Ensure all work adheres to current wiring regulations and SIP (Safe Isolation) protocols Assist with scheduling, planning, and resource management Deliver training and mentorship to engineers and apprentices Act as technical lead on all EV-related issues Liaise with clients, DNOs, suppliers, and internal teams Promote safety, innovation, and operational efficiency Requirements: Proven experience in EV charger installation and design NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent 18th Edition Wiring Regulations City & Guilds (or equivalent) EV Charger Installation Certification City & Guilds (or equivalent) Testing and Inspection qualification Valid ECS/JIB card Strong understanding of electrical isolation procedures and compliance Experience leading or mentoring engineers Smart metering experience preferred (aligned with SIP responsibilities) Experience in solar PV and/or air conditioning is highly desirable Organised, self-motivated, and solutions-focused Full UK driving licence What We Offer: Competitive salary Company vehicle fuel card Private health care 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) Company pension scheme Ongoing CPD and training opportunities Regular company events and team socials A leadership role in a forward-thinking, fast-growing company How to Apply: Submit your CV and a short cover letter outlining your experience and what you’d bring to the team
