The role
As a Principal Safety Case Engineer, you’ll manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities, applying your process, domain knowledge, and experience.
Responsibilities include:
* Develop hazard management strategies and participate in HAZID / HAZOP studies.
* Author radiological safety assessments, including Hazard Management Strategy, Safety Reports (PSRs and PCSRs, etc.)
* Produce and check calculations, design basis documentation, and technical reports.
* Manage work delivery by the Supply Chain, monitor progress against cost and schedule, and manage project risks.
* Oversee technical and safety case strategies, sharing best practices across projects.
This full-time role involves 37 hours per week with hybrid working options, adaptable from locations including Bristol, Warrington, Leicester.
Essential experience
* Chartered Engineer status or working toward it.
* Experience working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams on various project types.
* Proven ability to handle tasks of varying complexity.
* Good communication skills and ability to interface with other disciplines.
* Experience coaching or mentoring Safety Case Engineers.
Qualifications
* Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline with significant experience.
