Area Manager – Northern Ireland 📍
About the Role
We are looking for a high-performing Area Manager to lead and manage multiple client sites across Northern Ireland.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take full ownership of service delivery, people management, and operational performance. You will play a key part in stabilising operations, driving standards, and supporting the continued growth of Excellerate Services across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Service Delivery & Standards
* Ensure all sites consistently meet agreed service standards and KPIs
* Conduct regular site audits and inspections
* Implement structured cleaning schedules, task allocation, and quality checks
* Take immediate action to resolve service issues and maintain client satisfaction
🔹 People Leadership
* Lead, manage, and support cleaning teams across multiple sites
* Conduct inductions, training, and performance reviews
* Manage absence, lateness, and performance in line with company policy
* Build a strong, motivated, and accountable workforce
🔹 Client Relationship Management
* Act as the main operational contact for key clients
* Carry out regular client meetings and site walkarounds
* Handle client concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution
* Build strong relationships to support retention and growth opportunities
🔹 Operational Control & Compliance
* Ensure full compliance with:
* RAMS
* COSHH
* Health & Safety standards
* Maintain accurate site documentation and audit records
* Support implementation of Ireland-specific operational processes
🔹 Time & Attendance / Payroll Accuracy
* Ensure all staff clock in/out via the Velocity system
* Validate and approve hours worked in line with actual service delivery
* Prevent unauthorised overtime and payroll discrepancies
* Take ownership of accurate payroll submissions
🔹 Commercial & Cost Management
* Manage labour and operational costs in line with budgets
* Control overtime and reduce inefficiencies
* Monitor consumables and support cost-effective ordering
* Ensure contracts are delivered profitably and efficiently
🔹 Recruitment & Resourcing
* Lead recruitment and onboarding of staff
* Ensure all roles are filled quickly to avoid service gaps
* Build a reliable and scalable team structure
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in cleaning / FM operations management
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Experience managing multiple sites or contracts
* High level of accountability and ownership
* Commercial awareness and ability to manage costs and margins
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Full driving licence (essential)
