Subspeciality Fellow in Gynaecological Oncology

Responsibilities
* Work closely with our three Gynaecological Oncologists and two Clinical Nurse Specialists
* Develop into a confident and experienced Gynae/Oncologist within 2–3 years of training
* Provide a robust surgical service for women with advanced ovarian cancer, performing radical surgery with minimal morbidity
* Run a minimally invasive surgical service using laparoscopy and robotics for the treatment of endometrial cancer
* Participate in the department’s colposcopy service and achieve BSCCP Colposcopy Accreditation
* Actively involve in the Gynaecological MDT, clinics and audit programmes
* Contribute to research, with a target of two peer‑reviewed publications by the end of the training programme
* Engage in all areas of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, including a 1st on‑call covering obstetrics and gynaecology at a reduced rate of 50%
* Complete all necessary curriculum modules related to this role, either onsite or through approved methods
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered with GMC with a licence to practice
* Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (or equivalent)
* Distinctions, prizes, awards, scholarships, other degrees
* BSCCP accreditation
* ATSM in oncology
Training
* ST5 or above
Experience
* Broad based competence of Gynaecology and Obstetrics
* Competent at managing second on call on Labour Ward
* Personal log book demonstrating surgical experience and outcome data
* Evidence of participation in clinical management activities
