We are currently recruiting dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) on behalf of a highly respected Further Education College in Widnes. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students aged 16+ who require additional support to access their studies.
Role Overview:
As an LSA, you will work closely with students who have a range of support needs, including learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, and physical or sensory impairments. Your role will involve:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support in classroom settings
* Promoting independence and confidence in learners
* Supporting students with both academic tasks and personal development
* Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the SEND team
We're looking for candidates who:
* Have experience in a similar role within education (school, college or alternative provision)
Are patient, reliable, and adaptable
* Have a genuine passion for supporting learners with additional needs
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply for one)
* Have relevant qualifications in support work, education, or childcare (desirable but not essential)
Hours Available:
18 hours per week
25 hours per week
30 hours per week
(Typically Monday to Friday, term time only)
