My client is looking for a proactive Facilities Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations at a busy shopping centre. You’ll ensure the site runs safely, smoothly and to a high standard, working closely with tenants, contractors and service partners.
Ideally looking for someone who has retail experience in the Birmingham area, who is hard services bias with a flare for challenge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build strong relationships with tenants and support daily operational needs
* Coordinate contractors and manage compliance documentation (RAMS, insurances, permits)
* Carry out H&S, fire and daily site inspections, driving actions to completion
* Support emergency procedures, incident reporting and insurance processes
* Assist with PPM delivery, supplier audits and monthly KPI reviews
* Maintain accurate records, reports, and operational documentation
About You
* Strong communicator with excellent organisation and attention to detail
* Confident managing contractors, compliance and inspections
* Good understanding of H&S and fire safety in multi‑let buildings
* IT‑competent and comfortable learning new systems
* Experience in FM, retail, mixed‑use or multi‑let environments is an advantage
* Experience with Service Charge budgets
