Responsibilities
* Recruit and train the best people for your team, developing their operational and leadership skills.
* Coach your team to be passionate and knowledgeable about the store products, build the store brand, and provide customers with the right range, quality and service.
* Lead your team in driving trade activity, using your expertise to grow sales and maximise profit.
* Lead and develop managers to deliver and sustain the Store Change Plan and resource-planned activities, ensuring hours are worked when most beneficial to customers, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions with continual reviews.
* Prioritise colleague safety and ensure the store trades legally by coaching the team to use security tools to provide a safer workplace.
Requirements
* Excellent communication skills; you share knowledge and work collaboratively to deliver results.
* Natural and welcoming with customers, listening to understand needs and building strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
* High energy and resilience to maintain momentum in challenging environments; you own store decisions and act quickly in customers’ and colleagues’ best interests.
* Drive to deliver beyond expectations; demonstrate integrity and perform at your best in all situations, inspiring confidence in others.
* Aware of competitors and proactive in delivering new initiatives to improve the store for customers.
