We are looking to strengthen our Procurement team with a Senior Buyer based at Peterborough with hybrid working available.
Responsibilities
* Aggregate demand across Water Recycling and Water programme areas and ensure all relevant information to support the procurement of goods and services have been included.
* Undertake ethical and robust methods to promote the correct selection of supply chain partners.
* Support Delivery on Time and manage and escalate any potential risks to the business.
* Ensure our Health & Safety processes and deliverables are implemented throughout the life cycle of each project.
* Issuing of performance scorecards across the supply chain and providing feedback to the project teams.
* Ensure all deliverables are received within the agreed time frames (programme, signed contracts and site documentations).
* Assess and implement efficiencies via value added approaches from within the Supply Chain.
* Undertake proactive stakeholder management; work in an approachable manner to provide updates, analysis, reports, and innovation to increase knowledge share and confidence.
About You
With experience in a senior Procurement/ Sourcing role, you’ll demonstrate a track record of excellent stakeholder management across a wide- range of demanding audiences. Possessing self-motivation and accountability in abundance, you’ll be an experienced negotiator and be able to professionally challenge whilst presenting transparent and honest facts and information.
With strong experience of driving performance with the supply chain, you’ll truly embrace collaboration and understand how a strong team ethic can deliver positive results. Working with a high degree of integrity and the customer’s best interest at heart during all activities, you’ll be able to juggle a hectic yet rewarding workload to deliver Portfolio strategies we can be proud of.
