Job Title: Warranty Engineer – Energy-from-Waste
Location - Near Braintree, Essex
Warranty Enegineer Overview
We are seeking an experienced engineering professional to support the warranty phase of a large energy-from-waste facility. This position plays a key role in managing plant defects, coordinating repairs, and ensuring reliable plant performance during handover and initial operations.
This is a fixed-term permanent role from January 2026 to June 2027.
Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
Warranty Engineer Responsibilities

Act as the on-site engineering representative during the warranty period.

Manage defect investigations, warranty claims, and technical resolutions.

Coordinate subcontractors, specialists, and client teams to ensure plant performance and uptime.
*
Analyse root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
*
Maintain documentation and ensure accurate technical reporting.
*
Support commercial recovery efforts relating to warranty costs.
*
Ensure full compliance with HSE policies and contribute to lessons-learned processes.
Warranty Engineer Profile
*
Proven experience in plant operation, construction, or commissioning (EfW / power / industrial process plant preferred).
*
Strong technical problem-solving capability and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
*
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
*
Engineering or technical qualification desirable.
*
Self-motivated, reliable, and proactive with a strong safety mindset.
