Role Summary
32.5 hours per week, Term Time. An enthusiastic, motivated and committed person is required by the Governing Body of Ysgol Bryn Castell to support pupils with Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties including Autism alongside other Additional Learning Needs (ALN) as a Special Support Officer within a special school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support to pupils with BESD including Autism and other ALN in a special school environment.
Assist with behaviour management, emotional support, and social difficulties across primary and secondary phases.
Protect children, young people or adults at risk as a core responsibility.
Qualifications and Experience
* Some experience of working with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), particularly pupils with Behavioural, Emotional and Social difficulties (BESD) including Autism across both primary and secondary phases.
* Ability to conduct a basic conversation through Welsh.
* Enhanced Childrens Barred List DBS check.
