Offer description

Love live events, busy venues and great vibes? Were looking for an enthusiastic, people-loving Events Assistant to join our team! If youre self-motivated, thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in delivering brilliant customer service, this could be right up your street. Youll be friendly, professional, and confident dealing with the public, with some experience in hospitality or events under your belt. Sound like you? Wed love to hear from you!

Your Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Stockport Events Team as an Events Assistant, supporting the delivery of an exciting and ambitious events programme across some truly stunning venues; including Stockport Town Hall, Bramall Hall and Chadkirk Chapel. No two days are the same, and youll be right at the heart of bringing events to life.

Youll be a key part of the team, acting as a first point of contact for customers and clients, answering enquiries and helping events run smoothly from start to finish. Working alongside Hospitality Supervisors and Event Coordinators, youll help deliver events for up to 500 guests, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, lively environment.

Your role will include a mix of front of house, behind the scenes and event delivery tasks, such as:

* Bar and food service
* Event set-up and clear-down
* Event stewarding and guest support
* Answering phone calls and responding to enquiries
* Making reservations and providing reception cover
* Supporting client viewings
* Assisting with event delivery
* First aid provision
* General cleaning duties

This role involves evening, weekend and bank holiday work, with some late finishes after midnight, perfect for someone who enjoys flexible working and being part of live events.

Applicants must be 18 or over. Stockport Council holds a Visa sponsorship licence but this can only be used for certain roles and this campaign does not qualify.

Equality and Recruitment

Please note that we have made a commitment to improve the employment opportunities for people with disabilities, care leavers and ex-military personnel.
