An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare support worker to join our new expanded Enfield Overnight Community service.

The aim is to reduce unnecessary admissions of patients to A & E by supporting them with care in their own homes overnight and keeping patient safely in community.

The post holder will be an active member of the Overnight service, to provide support and undertake agreed nursing duties under the supervision of the Registered Nurses., Also able to work independently to deliver high standard of care to a multi- cultural and diverse population.

To demonstrate elements of leadership and team working skills and provide administrative and organisational support within the team.


Main duties of the job

To carry out clinical activities as delegated by a health care professional. All clinical work will be agreed, planned, and executed under the supervision of a qualified professional.

To ensure all contact with patients, families, carers is carried out with care, compassion & dignity.

To u ndertake clerical duties when required and transcribe formal minutes and other meetings


Working for our organisation

North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system – consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. As with other ICS’s, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.

To contribute to the overall assessment, planning, implementation, and review of individual patients under the supervision of the qualified nurse

Education & professional Qualifications

* Basic education
* NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience / qualifications


Experience

* Experience of working with patients in a community or residential setting with health or social care needs


Skills and aptitudes

* An ability to effectively use electronic information and computer technology.
* Ability to work independently, being self-motivated.
