GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join a dynamic school in Weymouth, providing care and educational support for children and young people with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities of the Disability Support Worker:
* Support individuals with physical, sensory, or learning disabilities in educational and daily activities.
* Assist with personal care, mobility, and adaptive learning strategies as needed.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction.
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement personalised support plans.
* Monitor progress, report observations, and contribute to reviews of care and education plans.
* Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in line with safeguarding policies.
Ideal Candidate Requirements of the Disability Support Worker:
* Experience supporting individuals with disabilities in school, care, or community settings.
* Empathetic, patient, and resilient approach to challenges.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and willingness to follow child protection procedures.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
