Driver Helper Permanent / Full Time hours / Ref: DH/AM/05/25 Duncrue Street, Belfast - AM Shift (05:30 start) Monday-Friday and 91 Moy Road, Portadown- AM Shift (06:15am start) Monday-Friday We are looking to appoint a Driver Helpers to join our busy Logistics Team. This role will be based out of the Belfast and Portadown depot. As a day shift drivers helper, you will start at 05.30am based from Duncrue site, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required, on a rota basis. As a day shift drivers helper, you will start at 06:15am based from Portadown site, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays required, on a rota basis. Role & Responsibilities -To provide assistance to the Driver at all times -Obtain all necessary documentation for the daily runs to ensure efficient operation of the business activities -Check customer routing for the daily runs, prioritising workloads to ensure all customer commitments are achieved -Provide excellent customer service that supports the RiverRidge brand -Due to the physical nature of the role, you will be required to collect and move commercial containers -Ensure all electronic paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner -Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times -Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) -Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department. Essential Criteria -Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence (Max 6 penalty points) -Good Geographical knowledge of NI -Good Communication skills (both written and verbal) -Experience in dealing with customers and members of the public -Ability to work well with others / Team Player -Must be able to apply Manual Handling techniques -Flexible approach to working hours to include weekends and Bank Holidays Desirable Criteria -Previous experience working in a similar role -Previous experience working within the Transport Sector *Any offer of employment will be subject to successful security clearances* **Must be able to provide documentation to confirm their eligibility to work in the UK** What we offer! -Competitive Hourly Rate - £12.77ph (Day shift) -Annual Bonus scheme available -Overtime rate of Time and a Half for hours worked over 45 hours/Mon-Fri -Saturday and Bank Holiday rate of Time and a Half -28 days Annual leave (incl of 8 Customary/Bank Holidays) -Company pension scheme -Free parking -Employee Uniform Closing Date: 27th May 2025, 5 pm To be considered for this role you will be redirected to and must complete the application process on our careers page.
