Mid Level Frontend Developer (JavaScript/TypeScript)
Location: Hybrid (monthly office visit Staffordshire) UK-based
Salary: £48,000 + bonus

About the Role
Were working with a UK-based technology company currently undergoing significant technical transformation following major project wins. As they continue to scale their platforms and services, they are looking to hire a Frontend Developer with solid experience in JavaScript and TypeScript to help deliver scalable, performant, and user-focused web applications.
Youll join a collaborative engineering team working in cross-functional squads. The role goes far beyond writing code to a brief, youll work closely with product owners, designers, engineers, and users to understand real-world problems and translate them into clean, intuitive user journeys.
The company is investing heavily in its digital architecture across several areas, including:
Financial calculations and secure third-party integrations
Customer-facing ecommerce journeys, including quoting and checkout
Automation of onboarding workflows and internal tooling

What Youll Be Doing
Building and iterating on modern web applications using Angular and TypeScript
Designing and implementing user experiences with accessibility and performance in mind
Collaborating with designers, engineers, and product teams to refine features
Writing testable, maintainable, and efficient code
Participating in code reviews, architectural discussions, and shared learning
Helping to refine frontend development standards and team best practices
What Were Looking For
Experience writing production-grade JavaScript and TypeScript
Good knowledge of HTML and CSS preprocessors (e.g. SCSS, SASS, LESS)
Familiarity with reactive and component-based programming patterns
Practical experience with Angular and RxJS (or another modern frontend framework)
Comfortable using modern frontend tooling and CI/CD pipelines
Bonus: familiarity with monorepo tooling (e.g. Nx), and state management libraries (e.g. NgRx, NgXs)
An interest in automated testing frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
A collaborative approach and curiosity about how users interact with what you build
