Due to continued growth, Doyle Security Ltd is seeking a professional and motivated Security Officer to join our team at a busy transport hub / gatehouse site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, security, and customer service.
You will play a vital role in managing access and egress to the site, ensuring all vehicle and driver movements are processed accurately, and supporting our client's Operations and Warehouse teams with clear, timely communication.
Key Responsibilities
Control access and egress to the site, ensuring only authorised vehicles, visitors, and contractors enter and exit.
Book in wagons and other vehicles on arrival, recording all required details and directing them safely to the correct bays.
Manage site keys and vehicle keys in line with site procedures, ensuring accurate logs are maintained at all times.
Carry out temperature checks and other site-specific checks as required, recording and escalating any issues.
Update run sheets and other site documentation accurately, both paper-based and electronic.
Collate and organise all relevant paperwork and digital records, passing documentation promptly to the Operations and Warehouse teams.
Provide a professional point of contact for drivers, visitors, and client staff, offering clear directions and support when needed.
Assist with incident reporting, daily occurrence logs, and any other security-related records as required.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, supporting the wider security team and covering holidays, sickness, and busy periods where needed.
Requirements
Valid SIA Frontline Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor).
Good working knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous in a busy, fast-moving environment.
A team-focused attitude, with flexibility to support colleagues and cover additional shifts when required.
Punctual, reliable, and well-presented at all times.
Ability to provide a full 5-year checkable employment/education history.
Hours of Work
4 on 4 off (12-hour shifts).
Regular overtime opportunities available.
Expectation to support the team by covering holidays, sickness, and additional shifts where business needs require.
