Job summary
Willowbrook Medical Practice has an exciting opportunity for a GP to join our motivated General Practice team. We offer flexible working sessions from four to eight. We seek a dynamic and motivated GP committed to providing excellent healthcare for our patients.
The position is salaried with a view to Partnership; however, if you prefer only salaried, please inform us. We invite prospective candidates to visit, tour the practice, and meet our team.
Located in North Nottinghamshire near the Derbyshire border, with excellent transport links close to the M1 and A38. Nottingham, Derby, Chesterfield, and Sheffield are easily accessible.
Main duties of the job
1. Undertaking various duties including face-to-face and telephone consultations, home visits, signing prescriptions, and managing queries, paperwork, reports, and correspondence promptly.
2. Making autonomous, professional decisions regarding medical issues, whether self-referred or referred from colleagues.
3. Assessing healthcare needs of patients with undiagnosed problems.
4. Screening for disease risk factors and early illness signs.
5. Developing care plans in consultation with patients, aligned with current protocols.
6. Providing health education.
7. Recording consultation notes adhering to standards.
8. Gathering data for audits and complying with QOF.
9. Delivering enhanced services.
10. Managing prescriptions electronically.
11. Performing all general GP duties within primary care.

We are a GMS practice offering minor procedures, contraception, and extended hours, including early and late sessions, supporting work-life balance.
As a forward-thinking training practice with over 12,000 patients, our clinical team includes 5 GP partners, 4 registrars, 2 ANPs, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and a full nursing and admin staff.
We collaborate with local practices as part of Ashfield North PCN.
