We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic SENDCo and Inclusion Lead with a passion for the education and mental well-being of our most vulnerable children to join our forward-thinking, caring and experienced team at Ramsgate Holy Trinity CE Primary School. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving the strategic development of SEND policy and provision.
We know the challenges of being a SENDCo and are fully aware that the future of inclusion lies in the ability to be creative and courageous. We are committed to making this role one in which the successful candidate enjoys a balance between having the freedom to exercise this creativity and passion in their approach, whilst being supported by the Deputy and Headteacher.
Part of our drive to make this manageable is it being a part-time, non-class-based role, equivalent to 0.6. As there is no regular teaching responsibility, we can offer a degree of flexibility around what this looks like across a week; we are open to this being fixed or flexible.

A team player who is intuitive, empathetic and kind, with a good sense of humour.
A creative problem solver who understands the SEND code of practice and can support others in its implementation.
Somebody who, once trained, is able to embrace the rationale and approaches of both OPAL and Thrive, as both are embedded within our school.
As a small school, everyone is a curriculum leader. The successful applicant may be required to lead a subject across the school and work within one of our Curriculum Hubs.
