Role Overview
Shell is seeking a qualified (Chartered Governance Institute or equivalent) Senior Company Secretariat Assistant to join the London team.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Deputy Company Secretary, you will support the delivery of high-quality corporate secretariat services, including entity management, governance, compliance, board activities, shareholder services, and understanding UK listed entity reporting and governance standards.
Specific Responsibilities
* Support company secretarial services: statutory compliance, shareholder and board actions, governance advice, corporate projects, processes, databases.
* Assist with GEMS updates and Data Protection registrations.
* Stay updated on statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Support corporate reporting and governance standards, including committee management, buybacks records, Annual Report drafting, regulatory disclosures, and maintaining GEMS database.
Qualifications & Attributes
Experience managing subsidiary companies and company secretarial functions within a listed environment is preferred. Candidates should be newly or recently CGI qualified (or equivalent). Attributes include:
* Self-motivated with excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
* Mature in dealing with senior stakeholders.
* Problem-solving, analytical skills, learning agility.
* Proactive, well-organized, adaptable, capable of working under pressure.
* Skilled in GEMS, Diligent, Microsoft Office, Docusign, or similar systems.
