Overview
Reporting to the Project Director, the post holder will be responsible for representing the client with the planning, execution and delivery of a mechanical & electrical installation work on a nuclear licensed site.
The Site Construction Manager will also manage and lead other members of the Ansaldo Nuclear team and any other subcontractors on site.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the co-ordination and control of the construction, installation, commissioning stage of the project, through to completion and the handover of the plant to the client.
* Day to day management of operations on site, ensuring that the project is brought to a successful completion and meets the required time, budget, quality and safety constraints.
* Ensuring timely management of any unforeseen delays.
* Regular monitoring and liaison with the Head of Delivery on the Master Schedule and development of stage/section schedules as required to manage the delivery’s time and the impact of other to the planned time.
* Carry out tool box briefings to the site teams and sub-contractors.
* Plan and efficiently organise the site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment on site is fit for purpose (ex. certified) and only operated by appropriately trained SQEP’ed staff.
* Requisition all materials, and oversee the deliveries and ensure they are done so in adequate time in line with the construction programme and procurement schedule.
* Effectively communicate with the Design Team to ensure the timely release of design information to limit impact on site construction/ installation.
Eligible to obtain SC/DV Security clearance
* CSCS card
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) / SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety training Scheme)
* Be familiar with Safe Systems of Work (Risk Assessments / Permits to work etc.)
* BPSS (As a minimum)
