What you'll be doing
As an Assistant QS you will have your area of responsibility, be also responsible for the effective engagement and management of our supply chain. Typically they will have a quantity surveying degree or be in the final stages of achieving the same on a part-time basis.
1. Has a good knowledge of and adheres to the Companys GMCEs, BMS and other governance
2. Gather data & carry out research on current construction costs
Measure, record & value work supervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures
3. Seek out, locate and assemble pre and post contract documentation, complimented with the necessary administration skills
4. Be responsible for weekly and monthly works programmes
5. Awareness of different programme formats
6. Use the companys ERP System and BMS systems
7. Collation of Cost and Value Information
8. Preparation of Cost reconciliation statements
Who we're looking for
As an Assistant QS will have a good knowledge of quantity surveying duties and will have a successful track record in performing these duties. With support from more senior members of the commercial team, they will manage the costs of the works and ensure that their part of the project meets legal and quality standards.
