We are delighted to be partnering with an established construction business based in Cheadle, who are strengthening their finance team and looking for an Accounts Assistant to work closely with their Management Accountant by supporting on all day-to-day finance activities.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience who is keen to develop, broaden their skills and get involved in wider month-end duties within a rapidly expanding business.
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000
About The Role - You'll gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of finance, working closely with leadership in a fast-growing SME environment.
Your Core Responsibilities in the Accounts Assistant Role Will Include:
Processing accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently.
Raising and managing sales invoices accurately and on time.
Managing supplier statements, reconciliations and resolving finance queries.
Credit control activity including debtor chasing, payment follow-ups, and maintaining clean debtor records.
Allocating customer payments.
Bank reconciliations.
Managing the finance inbox.
Assisting with accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
Helping prepare month-end journals.
Supporting cashflow reporting and maintaining accurate records.
Key Skills and Experience Required -
Previous experience within any finance related role.
A desire to learn and develop broader month-end skills.
Confident communicator who enjoys working in a collaborative team.
Organised, detail-oriented and proactive.
