We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Conwy to assist with the appointment of a Facilities Support Officer, on a 2-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.65 - £16.06 per hour

Summary:

Conwy County Borough Council is seeking a motivated and proactive Facilities Support Officer to join the Facilities & Environment team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of various council facilities, ensuring that buildings are safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in facilities management or building operations, looking to contribute to essential public services.

Responsibilities:

* Assist with the coordination and delivery of facilities management services across council buildings.
* Carry out routine inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure buildings remain in good working order.
* Report and follow up on building faults, repairs, and health and safety concerns.
* Support the management of contractors and service providers carrying out work on site.
* Monitor and manage supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operational delivery.

Qualifications:

* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths -essential
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline desirable
* Health & Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH or equivalent) -desirable.

Experience:

* Previous experience in a facilities support or building maintenance role essential.

Requirements:

* Understanding of building systems and health & safety requirements
* Full UK Driving Licence -desirable

* You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
* You should have right to work in U.K
