Position Summary:
The duties of a Psychiatrist are to provide psychiatric diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders and substance use disorders. The Psychiatrist will assist in providing direction for inpatient and/or outpatient psychiatric units and will provide senior back-up coverage and weekend coverage as assigned by the hospital’s Medical Director and/or CEO/Managing Director. The Psychiatrist shall provide administrative services as enumerated and carry an appropriate inpatient and/or outpatient case load as assigned. The Psychiatrist will attend 75% of physician meetings and 75% of Medical Executive meetings.

Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school; completed residency in psychiatry; board certification required.
Experience: 5–8 years of experience. Experienced in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, with well-developed skills in integrating individual treatment approaches into the treatment milieu and good working relationships with other attending physicians and staff.
Licensure: Valid and current license to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey; current narcotics numbers as issued by the State of New Jersey and the US DEA.
Additional Requirements: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
