Job Overview
The role of the Community Host is crucial to the success of the workspace. The Host will be part our team that helps brings the co-working community to life by engaging with its members and guests on a daily basis. This will be achieved by greeting them and interacting with them within the workspace as well as the wide range of activities on the events schedule such as networking, charity, wellness, sporting and educational events. As well as acting as a host at such events it will be the responsibility of the host to promote such events to both members, businesses and external individuals. The host will also be responsible for connecting businesses both within the space as well as the local business community. To consistently achieve our 5 star service the host will also be responsible for maintaining the premium quality of our offering by ensuring the space is always presented to the highest of standards including meeting rooms, offices, kitchens and communal areas.
Duties
Duties and responsibilities:
* Meet and greet members, visitors and guests to the workspace both at reception and around the space.
* Deal with initial enquiries.
* Promote activities on our events programme/schedule.
* Deal with member complaints.
* Act as host for events on the Origin Workspace events schedule (both internal and external).
* Embrace our wellness programme by taking part in a range of activities on the schedule.
* Attend external third-party events as and when appropriate.
* Ensure the communal areas such as the lounge, lobby and roof terraces are clean and presentable at all times.
* Ensure meeting rooms are turned around quickly and efficiently and are always to "showroom" standards when not in use.
* Ensure visitors and guests are provided with appropriate refreshments.
* Ensure the tea, coffee and refreshment points are adequately stocked and presentable.
* Promote and sell meeting room space.
* Promote the Origin Workspace Connect Card.
* Provide general administration support as and when required including processing of day passes.
* Take part in volunteer days.
Experience
* Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with members, guests and team members.
* Experience in 5-star premium guest services or serving roles.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Familiarity with phone etiquette to handle initial inquiries professionally.
* Experience in working shift patterns.
