Role Overview:
As a Pastoral Manager, you will work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure the social, emotional, and behavioural welfare of students. You will play a key role in fostering a positive school culture and addressing barriers to learning.
Responsibilities as Pastoral Manager:
* Provide daily pastoral support to students across year groups.
* Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student welfare.
* Promote positive behaviour strategies and manage behaviour interventions.
* Monitor attendance, punctuality, and emotional well-being indicators.
* Support the safeguarding team and contribute to safeguarding processes.
* Maintain accurate records and provide reports when necessary.
Requirements for Pastoral Manager:
* Previous experience in a pastoral, behaviour, or welfare role in an educational setting.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach.
* Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
* Full CV covering the last 10 years, with any employment gaps clearly explained.
