The Cancer Clinical Trials Unit is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Finance Administrator to contribute to the financial management of our busy clinical trials portfolio on a FTE basis. We are looking for an organised, pro-active individual to join our Finance team, working closely with CCTU management and the Cancer Services finance team to provide financial administrative support across the CCTU. Duties will include accurately tracking research activities to pro-actively generate invoicing information. The post holder will also be expected to liaise with Trust departments to ensure that they are reimbursed appropriately for trial activity. The successful candidate will maintain oversight of income and expenditure across a large portfolio of studies, providing information to the Trust finance team pro-actively to resolve queries. A self-driven attitude and an ability to take the initiative will be vital to the success of the post. Applicants should have excellent IT skills, verbal and written communication, ideally with previous experience in clinical trials and/or NHS finance. Candidates should also have excellent attention to detail with an ability to work independently, planning and prioritising their own workload.
