Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the development of a new clinical service for adults experiencing complex PTSD. We are looking for an experienced psychologist with a background in psychological assessment, formulations, CBT, EMDR a to join our team. This service is a multi- modality, applied psychology-led service in Northamptonshire, established in recognition of an unmet clinical need in local pathways, especially between Talking Therapies and secondary mental health services. The complex PTSD service offers specialist clinical interventions, and also promotes trauma-informed approaches in the wider service and across mental health pathways. There are also good opportunities for people wishing to work part-time or across a couple of different specialties in the Trust. Main duties of the job Successful applicants will provide psychological assessment and interventions across the breadth of client groups and presentations that are seen in the team. There are opportunities for specialising in a particular area. There will be opportunities to provide supervision, consultation, reflective practice and training to the multi-disciplinary teams and you will be supported to do this. You would be working with other psychology colleagues to deliver and develop the service in a multidisciplinary team environment where the contribution of psychology is well-respected and valued. The successful applicant(s) would be line managed and supervised by the Principal Psychologists based in the team.. The Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Team Lead also provides support.
