East Suffolk Council Address: Lowestoft, Suffolk NR33 0EQ and Melton, Woodbridge, Suffolk IP12 1RT Salary: £35,412 - £42,839 per annum pro rata Hours: 22.2 hours per week, Part Time Contract: Maternity Cover for 12 months East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work, delivering essential local services and making a real difference to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk. We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Communities Team as a Communities Officer. About this role You will work proactively across council service areas, developing active partnerships with partners, businesses and communities to deliver the team’s five key outcomes: Better outcomes and quality of life for individuals, families, communities and organisations Resilient, connected, cohesive and inclusive communities Resilient, independent and safe individuals and families, particularly those who are vulnerable Reduced health inequalities and improved mental and physical health and wellbeing People and communities do more for themselves and, if necessary, can access the right service(s) at the right time You will need: a relevant degree (or appropriate professional qualification) or the equivalent level of practical experience in community development or enabling, community safety, ASB and or health and wellbeing in the public, private or voluntary sector experience of leading the development, delivery and management of programmes and projects based on evidence of need and awareness of project structures, roles, processes and documentation.
