Electrical Site Technician (Switchgear / Power Systems)
£33,000 – £40,000 + Overtime + On-Call + Excellent Benefits
UK Site-Based | Permanent
The Role
* Electrical maintenance, servicing, testing, and fault-finding on switchgear
* Planned preventative maintenance and reactive site work
* Interpretation of electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and general arrangement drawings
* On-site customer support, reporting, and technical problem solving
* Factory-based assembly of switchgear and electrical panels when not attending site work
* Control panel wiring, cabling, and copper busbar forming and fitting
* Participation in an on-call rota, including weekday daytime call-outs
* Travel to customer sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as an Electrical Site Technician, Electrical Maintenance Technician, or similar
* Hands‑on experience with switchgear, control panels, busbars, or power distribution systems
* Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to pass a PTS medical (safety‑critical role)
* Self‑motivated, reliable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
