Data Reporting Analyst (Experience within the mortgage industry)
Up to £50k - Permanent - Hybrid (2 days a week in Bracknell)
A specialist mortgage lender is looking for a Data Reporting Analyst responsible for delivering high-quality data reporting and analytical solutions to support internal operations and external requirements.
This role ensures data insights are accurate, timely, and aligned with the organization's strategic objectives, while maintaining data integrity across reporting platforms.
We are seeking someone with experience in the mortgage industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce regular and ad hoc reports to support operational and external reporting needs.
* Manage helpdesk tickets related to queries, incidents, changes, and report requests.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine reporting requirements, ensuring deliverables add value.
* Design and develop dashboards and reports aligned with business goals.
* Ensure reporting artefacts follow internal coding standards and development practices.
* Validate reports created by team members to maintain accuracy and consistency.
* Conduct peer reviews, testing, and quality checks to uphold data quality.
* Contribute to broader Reporting and Business Intelligence initiatives.
* Ensure reported data reflects underlying systems accurately.
* Assist in maintaining data dictionaries and labelling within data warehouse and ETL systems.
* Support and mentor team members, fostering collaboration.
* Stay updated with relevant technologies and maintain technical skills.
* Complete all required training promptly and effectively.
* Develop and maintain procedural documentation for recurring tasks.
* Proficient in working with UK mortgage data, including onboarding, lending, and securitisations.
* Experience with Kimball star schema data warehouses.
* Strong skills in reporting and visualization using SQL Server, T-SQL, Power BI, SSRS, Excel, Azure DevOps, and performance tuning techniques.
* Ability to interpret business requirements into technical solutions.
* Knowledge of software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes.
* Understanding of the mortgage data lifecycle.
* Familiarity with financial regulations like Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly (training available).
* Experience with SSAS and SSIS.
* Hands-on knowledge of SQL Server and modern data warehouse methodologies.
