Most of the world’s global non-ferrous futures business is conducted on the LME’s three trading platforms totalling $18 trillion, 178 million lots and 4 billion tonnes with a market open interest high of 1.8 million lots in 2024. The metals community uses the LME, an HKEX Group company, as a venue to transfer or take on price risk, as a physical market of last resort and as the provider of transparent global reference prices. Overall Purpose of Role : Sit within the Platform Engineering Team to commission, maintain, configure, manage and support bespoke business applications for the facilitation of Unit, Functional, Non-functional and User Acceptance Testing stream. Work collaboratively within CPT department and with other operational teams to deploy and manage systems, help automate and streamline operations and processes, and troubleshoot issues within multiple environments. Work with DevOps skilled resources to support establishing our continuous deployment pipeline, managing, monitoring and automating the company infrastructure using a variety of tools. Responsibilities: Technical installation, configuration and support of bespoke business application software for the purposes of Functional Test execution. Assist in the design, building and ongoing maintenance of new automated infrastructure Establish, implement and manage the methods of deployment (development, testing and production) and the processes and tools required to execute those deployments. Manage the software development tools used by the Software Engineering team and ensure they are scalable. Carry out verification and acceptance of bespoke business application software deployment kits and their release notes. Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot functional test environments (O/S, middleware and bespoke business application software) Compile and verify deployment instructions for onward installation of applications to Pre-Production and Production environments. Contribute to the future planning and direction of the use of 3rd party and bespoke software maintained by the team. Automate parts of the development delivery process using scripts and other appropriate tools – implement and update CI/CD pipelines. Devise and develop analytical methods and tools to measure the efficiency of products and processes. Assist in the design, building and ongoing maintenance of new automated infrastructure. Required Knowledge and Level of Experience: Windows 10, Window Server 2012, 2016, 2019 Linux (Red Hat 6/7/8) operating system knowledge SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017/2019 Oracle 10g/11g/12g IIS and Apache Tomcat Web server skills Atlassian – JIRA/Confluence/Crowd/BitBucket/Bamboo, JFrog Artifactory and Zephyr Enterprise Scripting languages :Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash, YAML, JScript Active Directory, DNS, IPA, FTP, sFTP, SSL, general networking / firewalls Splunk or Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana), Grafana Working knowledge of Configuration management and “infrastructure-as-code” with Ansible/Puppet/Chef/Salt.(Ansible Tower expertise preferred) The LME is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
