The role involves:
· Watching and monitoring the store and ensuring customers have a great experience.
· Serving customers and being responsible for cash handing / card payments.
· Assisting with stock control and management within the store including accepting and checking new deliveries, manual lifting of heavy stock, re-stocking shelves, rotating stock, date checking and ensuring the store is fully stocked at all times.
· Providing general advice and guidance to customers on shop products, services and offers.
· General cleaning and housekeeping within the store.
· Awareness of security in the store including looking out for shoplifters, fraudulent money and fraudulent bank cards.
About you:
· Previous experience within a retail environment preferred
· Fully flexible to work a variety of shifts including early starts and late finishes
· Willing to provide support and cover for holidays and sickness when required
· A passion for delivering world class service
· An excellent work ethic and ability to use own initiative
· A positive attitude and professional demeanour
· A friendly and engaging personality
· A strong desire to learn and develop
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 35 per week
Experience:
* Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
* customer service: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Driving Licence (preferred)
