This role is open to Female applicants only as requested by our female residents to ensure the comfort and dignity of those who require personal care.
About the Services
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work across two of our disability-supported living services in Ellesmere Port – Guernsey House and Park Drive.
Guernsey House is home to four women in their 20s who each use wheelchairs, two of whom are non-verbal and communicate with Makaton, and they all share a passion for fashion, beauty, shopping, and coffee trips.
Park Drive is home to two men and a lady with diverse needs who each enjoy a range of hobbies and engagement in their local community. We seek team members who can share in these individuals' passions and provide support with a keen sense of fun and motivation.
A Day in the Life of a Learning Disability Support Worker
As a Learning Disability Support Worker, no two days are alike. Our approach revolves around person-centred planning, tailoring our services to suit the distinct requirements of each person we support. We are deeply committed to working towards positive outcomes for every individual, celebrating even the smallest milestones on their journey to personal growth. As a Support Worker, you'll receive comprehensive training to provide a wide range of assistance, including personal care, behavioural support, fostering independence and confidence, and nurturing positive relationships through effective communication.

What We're Looking For
* Experience with Makaton communication.
* Full UK Driver's license.
* An interest and willingness to engage in the hobbies of the people we support at Guernsey House and Park Drive.
