About the role:
Depot Operations Support - InPost Distribution Lincoln depot.
Are you ready to be at the heart of a fast-paced, dynamic parcel operation? Join InPost Distribution as a Depot Operations Support team member and play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth daily parcel activities, exceptional customer care, and seamless administration in our bustling Lincoln depot
Location: Sadler Road, Lincoln LN6 3RS
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday (35hrs)
Hours: 10:00am - 5:30pm
Salary: £12.51 per hour
What you'll be doing:
* Responsible for all administrative requirements relating to transport
* Liaise with internal and external customers, suppliers and drivers
* Ensure the timely dispatch of outbound vehicles and track them on their journeys
* Monitor the arrival of inbound vehicles and liaise with the warehouse team
* Identify and monitor issues trends
* Contribute ideas which will improve our ability to provide exceptional customer service
* Support the planning of routes
* Ensure that the operation remains legally compliant through monitoring drivers' hours and downloading tachographs
* Respond swiftly to breakdowns and vehicle defect reports
* Dealing with issues such as quarantined titles etc.
* Ad-hoc administration duties
What we need from you:
* Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail
* A general understanding of transport legislation and logistics operations
* Experience of producing reports and statistics in a timely manner
* Experience of working in a customer focused, time sensitive environment with daily fluctuating workloads
* Able to react quickly to information, helping solve any challenges to routes
* Good computer skill -essential and experience using in-house transport management systems is an advantage
