Job Summary and Key Responsibilities:
Withsubstantial growth plans, we are now looking for a talented individual to join our team as anAssistant Finance Manager.We are looking for a talented individualwho can manage the demands of a high volume, multi-site business, whilst embracing our ethos and further enhancing the professional, high-quality and personal service we provide.
The successful candidatewill oversee the management accounts for The Acorn group, including P&L and balance sheet. You will be responsible for, analysing and reporting on key financial data within the organisation and ensuring that the data produced is accurate, relevant and concluded in a timely manner.
Duties include:
* Ensure accurate preparation of the monthly management accounts for the Acorn Group including revenue, prepayments, accruals and fixed assets.
* Ensure provision of insightful analysis of costs and revenues to business areas and facilitate timely response to queries resulting from the issuing of the management accounts.
* Attend monthly/quarterly meetings with Regional Directors to review their P&L.
* Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with department timetable.
* Identify and implement process improvements to drive greater efficiency and accuracy in the production of the management accounts.
* Be involved in the preparation schedules for audit and assist with queries from the group's auditors during the annual audit process.
* Compile tax schedules for preparation of Corporation Tax filing.
* Assist in the production of annual departmental budgets.
* Assist in completion of returns to the Office for National Statistics.
* Dealing with ad-hoc queries and reporting as required by the Financial Controller.
* Being pivotal in development of direct reports and the wider team as required.

* Excellent organisational skills, able to re-prioritise in a changing environment.
* Intermediate Excel Skills.
* Computer literate with experience of all Microsoft Office applications.
* Articulate with attention to detail.
* Able to analyse and summarise high volumes of data.
* Previous experience within Divisional or Departmental accounts.
* Either ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified.
* Previous experience workingwithin theinsurance industry.
* Previous or current experienceof D365.
* Knowledge of the property market and associated services.
* Previous or current experience within a line management position.
* Previous experience within the property industry.
