Overview
Join to apply for the Senior Care Assistant role at HC-One.
About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will contribute to Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, understanding that residents are people with their own stories. You will have an opportunity to give something back to those people by planning and delivering compassionate care.
You will plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will maintain the highest standards of care and influence the rest of the team. You may assist with activities such as showing how to use mobility aids, helping at mealtimes, or communicating with families, always with kindness. You will support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and may be involved in administering medication.
One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with your team.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (NVQ/SVQ) and work towards Level 3 qualification or equivalent, with a background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What's essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people. You will understand good record-keeping, time management, and communicate with residents and co-workers with consideration and kindness.
