We’re looking for a passionate and driven individual to join us as a Finance Trainee. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience, build practical skills, and be part of innovative projects like the Levelling Up project while learning new skills.

Some of your responsibilities:

* Helping prepares management accounts and year-end reports
* Supporting teams across the council with vital financial info
* Attending meetings with service managers and external partners
* Getting involved in exciting community projects
* Learning how we budget, forecast, and fund services from bin collections to business development

This is a new role which will cover the Forest of Dean. Within the District, there are plenty of places to see and visit whether you love hiking or cycling. With our agile working ethos: you will be spoilt for choice.

You will need…

* 5 GCSEs (Grades 9-4/A*-C) including Maths and English
* A curious, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude
* A confident communicator with strong IT and organisational skills
* Someone eager to grow, learn, and make a real difference in their community
