Job Title: Electrical Product Safety Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Buxton
Hours: Hours a week 9am - 5pm

As an Electrical Product Safety Engineer, you will deliver high-quality safety testing on a wide range of electrical products, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements. You’ll support both laboratory and on-site activities while contributing to technical expertise and business growth within the team. This role plays a key part in maintaining accreditation and delivering trusted, client-focused services.
1. Conduct electrical product safety testing in the laboratory and on client sites, ensuring compliance with established procedures and standards.
2. Prepare accurate test reports and certification documentation in line with accreditation and quality requirements.
3. Manage workload effectively to meet project timelines, budgets, and departmental targets.
4. Support calibration and maintenance of test equipment to ensure ongoing compliance with quality systems.
5. Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping, and adherence to company policies, including Code of Integrity and EDI guidelines.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you’ll need proven experience as an Electrical Safety Engineer or have experience in a similar role within a relevant industry, with recent experience in the use of test and measuring equipment ( multimeters, oscilloscope).
Essential
6. Bachelor or Master Degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent
7. Alternative HNC/HND in electrical engineering with relevant work experience
Desirable
8. Full Driving Licence for use in the UK
9. Familiarity with EU/UK safety directives
