Role summary
A confidential further education provider rated Ofsted Outstanding is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer in Electrical Installation to deliver high-quality teaching to Level 3 learners and apprentices. Based in Canterbury, this part-time role offers a structured timetable across Monday to Thursday, with a strong focus on practical learning and student support.
You'll be responsible for teaching, training, and assessing students in a variety of learning environments, ensuring they receive a stimulating and inclusive educational experience. You'll also contribute to course planning, student progression, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Preparing and delivering lessons across designated programmes
* Creating lesson plans and teaching materials in line with college guidelines
* Acting as a personal tutor and supporting student progress
* Conducting assessments and providing regular feedback
* Monitoring attendance and managing student records
* Organising external visits and enrichment activities
* Supporting safeguarding, equality, and quality assurance practices
* Participating in recruitment, open days, and professional development
Candidate requirements
* Level 3 Electrical qualification (essential)
* Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or PGCE (or willingness to complete)
* Assessor/Verifier awards (desirable)
* Maths, English, and IT Level 2 (GCSE grade C or above or equivalent)
* Up-to-date industry experience and knowledge of awarding body requirements
* Effective communicator with strong organisational and teamwork skills
* Familiarity with IT and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
* Eligible for Enhanced DBS clearance
