To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Payroll Advisor to join our team at our Head Office location (LE67 6HS). This role is a full time, permanent position.
Responsibilities
* Processing UK payroll of 2,000 colleagues as part of a team of 3 Specialists
* Timely and compliant payroll reporting as and when required - ensuring all corporate policies, governance and controls are properly administered and adhered to
* Providing advice and support to employees on all matters relating to pay by both telephone and email - working to agreed SLAs to deliver exceptional customer service
* Administering processes used for starters, leaver, salary changes and permanent data adjustments
* Processing and modifications to wages, deductions and payroll taxes
* Processing electronic payments to employees (BACS), HMRC and other 3rd party vendors
* Entry of payroll overrides and salary adjustments.
* Processing of Tax Month/Year End (including all GL reconciling with FBP’s)
* Processing Start of Year Update testing and sign-off with HR Systems Lead
* Processing Tax Month and Year End
* Payrolling all non-cash benefits (taxing at source)
* Remain up to date with new legislation and regulatory rulings impacting payroll
Qualifications
* Qualifications CIPP qualified or equivalent
* An understanding of payroll processes utilised in end to end life cycle
* Ability to demonstrate an understanding of UK Payroll and HR legislation and be able to advise where required
* Experience working within a Payroll environment - with demonstrable experience of setting up and running efficient, end to end processes
* Strong organisational and planning skills, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of Zellis/Resourcelink software would be advantageous in this role, but is not essential.
