Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Nottingham

RCVS provides veterinary medicines to pets all over the UK
About them: Their clients submit their veterinary prescriptions via their secure online portal, these are then clinically screened and dispensed by their team based in Nottingham.
Facilities : Modern & well-equipped
Role: This is a non-patient-facing role offering the opportunity to work from home for part of the week
Key Responsibilities:
* Screening prescriptions that are submitted against orders. Checking they are clinically safe and accurate as well as ensuring prescription legalities are met. This may include liaising with customers if any clarification is required as well as liaising with veterinary practices across the UK if there are any queries.
* Responding to customer queries where veterinary input is required
* Maintaining contact with veterinary medicine wholesalers to ensure a smooth process in supply.
* Check ALL orders that have been picked prior to dispatch, and sign off against them
* Highlight any mistakes made during the order/picking process with the appropriate team member
* Ensure compliance with RCVS and VMD regulations
* Dealing directly with customer complaints
* Reporting any fraudulent prescriptions to the VMD and enter these on spreadsheets
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
* Participate in continuing education and training to stay abreast of the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to pet owners regarding their veterinary medicines.
Hours : 30 hours per week - Part-time. Flexible working options are available regarding hours and WFH options.
Qualifications : Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited veterinary school and a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
Salary : £39,000 - £54,600 incl. allowances per annum
