Our client is now urgently looking for an Ecologist to join their highways & rail team in Belfast on a 3-month contract (inside IR35). There is a chance this could be extended. You'l be expected to work in the office 1 day per week and work on site as and when required. A vehicle can be provided for site work. Supporting the Department for Infrastructure, you'll be focused on highway-related ecological surveys and will therefore need some previous experience in a similar role. Principal responsibilities: * Lead and conduct ecological surveys, mainly on highways and rail-related projects. * Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, especially regarding protected species. * Review and write high-quality ecological reports. * Collaborate with generalist and landscape colleagues to support programme delivery.
