Social Worker - Assessment Team (Redcar, UK)
Hourly Rate: £31.74 Contract Type: Ongoing Work Options: Full-time & Part-time available
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council is recruiting a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join the Assessment Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the lives of children, young people, and families in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
About the Role
Based within the Assessment Team under the "Relationships First" model
Focused on building strong, supportive relationships that lead to lasting change
Ideal for individuals seeking flexibility and purpose in their career
Key Responsibilities
Carry out comprehensive assessments to determine the needs of children and families
Develop and implement tailored care plans to ensure safety and promote well-being
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to coordinate support services
Maintain accurate, timely case records in compliance with statutory requirements
Empower families through guidance and support to achieve positive outcomes
A recognised qualification in Social Work (BA, MA, DipSW or equivalent)
Registration with Social Work England
Proven experience in children and families social work
Strong knowledge of current legislation and statutory frameworks
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
Competitive hourly rate of £31.74
