Role: Short Breaks Worker Nights

Connect2Luton are excited to recruit a Short Breaks Worker Nights on behalf of Luton Borough Council within their CHILDREN & LEARNING department.
Main purpose of position:
Under the direction of the Team Leaders and on call management support, organise, plan and take responsibility for the care and safeguarding of the young people and security and cleanliness of the Short Breaks Hub during the night, ensuring the provision of high quality, cost effective short break care for children & young people with learning, physical disabilities and challenging behaviour.
As a Short Breaks Worker Nights,you will be responsible to:
1. Work with individual children and young people to address their physical, emotional, social and development needs including administration of medication. Give prescribed medication and other health procedures (eg, gastrostomy feeding and oxygen) or first aid treatment to residents and be alert to resident's medical needs.
2. To plan and organise workload ensuring young people are safe guarded, competently undertake all aspects of the care task for young people and ensure their needs are met. This will include facilitating admissions.
