We have an exciting role on offer within our Prevention Services as Principal Occupational Therapist.
This post has been developed to ensure effective delivery of adult social care services in line with our vision. As Principal Occupational Therapist you will work in close partnership with the Principal Social Worker and senior leadership team to optimise practice quality outcomes and drive preventative, personalised, strengths-based services that focus on independence and wellbeing.
This will involve,
Ensuring that all relevant statutory, policy and codes of practice and procedural guideline requirements are followed.
Developing and leading on a strategic plan and lead in the development of key areas of work relating to Occupational Therapy resource throughout adult social care. Working collaboratively with partner agencies and key stakeholders to develop and promote effective working relationships to ensure our services are embedded into wider service provision.
Leading and managing specific projects or initiatives within the service. Identifying opportunities for service development and improvement, including developing new services or initiatives to meet evolving needs, and ensuring services are being delivered to a high standard, benchmarked across the regional social care OT network.
Leading and managing staff across all OT areas (Access, Reablement, Blue badges, Staying Put Agency, Care Homes, Assistive technology, Main OT team), including recruitment, training, supervision, performance management and to ensure a safe and effective environment for service users.
Manage and monitor dedicated service budgets and associated financial / procurement in line with the Councils financial procedures ensuring the services are financial sustainable and operationally efficient.
