Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Freight Forwarding Operator to join a growing logistics team in Aberdeen. This role is suited to an experienced operator who can manage day-to-day forwarding activities across imports and/or exports, with a strong operational focus.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations
* Handle import entries, including customs clearance processes (preferred)
* Coordinate export shipments across air and sea freight
* Liaise with carriers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth shipment movement
* Prepare and process shipping documentation accurately
* Monitor shipments and proactively resolve any operational issues
* Ensure compliance with relevant customs regulations and industry standards
Requirements
* Proven experience as a freight forwarder / operator within logistics
* Strong hands-on operational background
* Experience with import entries (highly desirable)
* Exposure to export operations, particularly air and sea freight
* Good knowledge of freight forwarding documentation and processes
