Sous Chef (VP Chef Ncastle) Newcastle upon Tyne, England
Job Salary: £30,000 per annum (40-hour week, any 5 of 7 days). Meals on duty and uniform provided.
We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our hotel in Newcastle City Centre.
Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional service, quality, and consistency across all hotel menus.
* Lead by example and mentor junior staff in all elements of food preparation.
* Ensure all dishes meet brand standards and are consistently of high quality.
* Take charge of service in the absence of the Head Chef, fostering teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government Health and Food Safety legislation, including HACCP, and conduct necessary quality and safety checks throughout the kitchen.
* Ensure food items are stored safely, stocks are replenished to minimize waste, and all kitchen equipment and environments remain hygienic and functional.
Benefits
